Amy is a senior from Kansas City, Missouri, double-majoring in international relations and history. Her specializations are Europe and foreign policy/security. She first joined the IRR as a writer her freshman year. She began writing in the Africa section, but switched to Russia & FSU in the wake of the Ukraine war. Her interests include transnational security and defense and the conventional disarmament. She was formerly an intern at the Institute of International and European Affairs, researching European Union defense initiatives. At Boston University, she’s a member of Delta Phi Epsilon and a photographer for the BUIAA Marketing Board. She is also an incoming Vice Chair for BarMun XVII, and was previously been a Crisis Staffer for BosMUN XXII and Logistics Staffer for BarMUN XVI.

In her free time, Amy enjoys collecting and shooting 35mm cameras, hanging out with her roommates, and playing any kind of puzzle game. She’s a big football fan and is often bragging about the Kansas City Chiefs’ back-to-back Super Bowl Championships. She’s proud to be part of the IRR because of the voice it gives to young writers with a passion for global affairs.
